An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Assistant Manager at Orocco Pier, South Queensferry.

Orocco Pier is a privately owned, award winning operation consisting of a boutique hotel, seafood and grill restaurant, café-bar and events venue. Established in 2001, we have built a reputation for friendly but professional service and a quality product. We work hard to achieve this and focus on developing and driving our team to meet the highest standards possible.

We are seeking someone with the passion and energy to be part of the management team and be developed in both our café-bar and restaurant. You will work directly under our senior managers to ensure standards of customer care, staff performance and health & safety are maintained in all areas and at all times. There will be an emphasis on staff development, cost controls and sales initiatives.

We are therefore looking for someone with several years of experience, working in a managerial or supervisory position in a similar, fast-paced style of operation. They should be competent in the following areas:

  • Food and beverage service in a busy environment – some wine, spirit and cocktail knowledge is also essential
  • Events management experience – preferred for support for some weddings and events
  • Daily staff supervision and ongoing training
  • Health and safety, food safety and allergen compliance
